Assistant Athletic Trainer (3 positions)
Troy University is seeking qualified candidates for three (3) positions of Assistant Athletic Trainer within the Department of Athletics. Troy University is an NCAA Division I FBS institution with over 450 student-athletes in 17 sports competing in the Sun Belt Conference, located in Troy, AL. Average patient care load of 12 staff Athletic Trainers is 1:40 student-athletes. The Assistant Athletic Trainer shall assist the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Athletic Training with the delivery of health care to student athletes of athletic programs operating from the athletic training facilities at Troy University. The position provides supervisory function in all phases of athletic training in the traditional college setting. Multiple sport assignments possible (Track & Field, Football, Men’s Basketball).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree from a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program
- Active BOC Certification, in good standing
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification
- Eligible for Athletic Training Licensure in state of Alabama
- One to three years post-graduate professional experience, Division I athletics preferred
- Experience with neurocognitive baseline concussion testing, post-concussion testing
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one by the first day of employment, with good driving record
- Criminal background check
Salary: $50,000-60,000 annual, commensurate with experience
