Corban University (Salem, Ore.) is hiring an assistant athletic trainer. Corban University is an NAIA institution with 17 varsity sports. Primary event coverage to include M/W Soccer, Men's Wrestling, Baseball. Daily will work with student athletes from all University sponsored athletic teams.
MISSION: To educate Christians who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ.
SUMMARY: The Assistant Athletic Trainer assists the Head Athletic trainer in program building including planning, recruiting, managing and directing the athletic training programs. The Assistant Athletic Trainer also assists in providing medical coverage for athletic programs.
LOCATION: Corban University’s 220+ acre campus is situated on a hillside forest setting overlooking the Willamette Valley, just minutes from the heart of Salem, Oregon’s capital city. The rugged coast awaits only an hour’s drive to the west. To the east is the mountainous Cascade Range. Portland, the state’s largest city, is less than an hour away and is home to cultural museums, parks, shopping, and restaurants.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred
- BOC and ECC (emergency cardiac care) certification required before beginning employment.
- Licensed with the Oregon Health Licensing Board prior to employment.
- At least two years of experience working with collegiate level athletes or
equivalent preferred
- Evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the university’s mission as described in our Statement of Faith
