Description: UTSA Football Sports Medicine – Assistant Athletic Trainer (Football)
The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Football Sports Medicine Department will be hiring a Full-Time Assistant Athletic Trainer in the coming weeks. The official posting is expected to go live late March / early April, but we are currently gathering resumes and beginning preliminary conversations over the next two weeks.
This position will serve as the second Assistant Athletic Trainer assigned to Football and will work directly with the UTSA Football program.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Daily football coverage
· Inventory management
· Brace ordering and equipment oversight
· Assistance with budget management
· Collaboration with sports medicine staff and football performance team
Staff Structure:
UTSA Football Sports Medicine currently consists of 4 Athletic Trainers and 1 Football Physical Therapist, creating a strong collaborative environment focused on professional development.
This position is ideal for a motivated clinician who is looking to continue developing their clinical and administrative skills with the long-term goal of becoming a Head Football Athletic Trainer.
Salary Range: $52,000 – $55,000
