    Description: This is a full-time, ten-month position. MIT sponsors 33 intercollegiate athletic teams and is a member of the NCAA Division III and the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference. Additionally, MIT sponsors Club, Intramural, and Recreational activities for its registered students. 

    Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to; participation in seasonal sport assignment rotation, home and away event coverage, patient care, and clinical education of athletic training students. Collaborate with other professional staff to prepare and oversee day-to-day operations of Athletic Training Unit/ Sports Medicine Center and other duties as assigned. The athletic event schedule will require the individual to travel with teams as well as work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the academic year. 

    Qualifications: Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree, master's degree of science preferred, be BOC Certified as an Athletic Trainer, hold current, or eligible for, MA State Licensure. Applicant must have experience working as an athletic trainer with high-risk sports as well as an interest in developing effectiveness as a clinical education preceptor. The individual should also possess a valid driver’s license. Must attain and maintain CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor credential. Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a background check.
