Data science skills can enable athletic trainers to uncover meaningful patterns in athlete biometrics, training loads, and recovery metrics, leading to more personalized and effective treatment plans. By combining their existing expertise in sports medicine with data science knowledge, athletic trainers can position themselves at the forefront of evidence-based practice and potentially open new career opportunities in sports analytics or research.
