    Northwestern State University – Natchitoches, Louisiana

    The Sports Medicine Department at Northwestern State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer within the Intercollegiate Athletics Department. This full-time, 12-month position is available for Start Date of July 7th and will serve as a key member of our healthcare team, working directly with the football program.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Provide comprehensive athletic training services including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.

    • Deliver medical coverage for practices, games, and team travel.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with institutional and NCAA policies.

    • Assist with the daily operations of the athletic training facility.

    • Coordinate and supervise team physician visits.

    • Support additional administrative tasks and duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

    • NATABOC certification and eligibility for Louisiana state licensure.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Annual salary: $51,000
