    Baylor University is searching for an Athletic Trainer to provide medical care to student-athletes under the delegated authority of the team physician including facilitation and/or coordination of injury and illness care of student-athletes.  Provide practice, training, and competition medical coverage for the football program. A Master's degree is required with 2 years minimum in collegiate setting, 5 years preferred; Power 4 Football and/or NFL experience preferred. Licenses, Certificates, Registrations: State Athletic Training License, Certified Athletic Trainer or eligible (required)  

    What Will You Do

    • Maintain communication with student-athletes, parents of student-athletes, team physicians, staff, and athletics administration. 
    •  Appropriately maintain medical documentation for the care of student-athletes while supporting confidentiality of protected health information.  
    • Develop and maintain supportive relationships with external health care providers including athletic trainers, physical therapist, physicians and other providers supporting the healthcare of student-athletes.  
    • Assist in the maintenance and proper use of athletic training facilities in order to create an efficient and safe working environment. 
    • Oversite of practice and event set-up. Ensure proper trunk maintenance and packing. 
    • Assist with the education and oversight of Master of Athletic Training Students. Provide education to student-athletes, coaches, support staff, administrators and parents. 
    • Maintain a working knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA, Big 12 Conference and institution rules and regulations and to communicate immediately any possible infractions of such rules and regulations to Athletics Governance and Regulatory Affairs staff. 
    • Adhere to best practice standards established by the NATA, NCAA CSMAS and similar governing organizations. 
    • Other duties as requested by the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics (or designee) 
    • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission  
    • Ability to comply with University policies  
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
