Description: This role will provide Athletic Training services to assigned student- athletes, conduct administrative tasks, and supervise athletic training students in a clinical setting. They will deliver comprehensive therapeutic exercise programs and musculoskeletal care to support athletes with diverse strength and conditioning needs.
Assess injuries and manage comprehensive treatment programs to prevent injury and rehabilitate athletes.
· Design and implement comprehensive training or rehabilitation programs to prevent injury and illness among athletes.
· Design and implement conditioning programs for both injured and non-injured athletes, ensuring safety through tailored program development that incorporates individualized nutrition plans and training schedules.
· Evaluate and manage injuries. Maintain medical documentation on each athlete and act as a liaison between the physician and the athlete.
· Prepare athletes for practice or competition based on team schedules, applicable regulations and guidelines, and in conjunction with physician and sports performance staff.
· Participates in relationship building between assigned athletic programs and the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin.
Qualifications:
· ATC certification required
· Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Affiliated Credentialing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
· BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
· Graduate of a CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education program
· 1-2 years of full-time athletic training experience preferred.
