    Description: University of Mount Olive and Goldsboro Physical Therapy and Wellness are looking for Certified Athletic Trainers to join our team!

    Goldsboro Physical Therapy and Wellness and the University of Mount Olive are collaborating to deliver exceptional Sports Medicine care to the student athlete population of the University of Mount Olive. While reporting directly to the Clinical Director at Goldsboro Physical Therapy and Wellness, the Athletic Trainer will be coordinated on-site by the UMO Director of Sports Medicine working under the medical supervision of the UMO Medical Director. We are looking for: 2 Assistant ATC's.

    Sport assignments will be based on experience and needs of the program. Assistant Athletic Trainer will coordinate healthcare for UMO student-athletes including but not limited to emergency management, orthopedic care, and illness management, evaluation and treatment of injuries at practices and games, design and supervision of rehabilitation programs, administration of athletic training operations, and referral of injured student-athletes to the appropriate physicians according to guidelines in the standard operating procedures. Other responsibilities include communication to physicians, medical staff, coaches, support staff, and administration, student athlete education and facilitation of teamwork amongst sports medicine staff.

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s Degree in athletic training or related field preferred.
    • Candidate must be nationally certified and in good standing with the Board of Certification (BOC)
    • Licensed or eligible for licensing in the state of North Carolina required.
    • CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
    • Minimum qualifications include collegiate healthcare experience and autonomous medical decision-making experience.
    • Evening and weekend hours required, valid driver’s license required.
    • Collegiate health care experience preferred
    • Candidate must possess strong organizational skills and effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate interest and ability to work successfully with a diverse student-athlete population, while promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity. Ability to work independently with multiple team assignments. Experience working in intercollegiate athletic setting strongly preferred.
