Description: Duties will include practice / game coverage, travel and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. In addition Interns will assist six other staff athletic trainers with coverage of five coed athletic training rooms, be involved with instruction and supervision of athletic training students, and handle various duties as assigned by the Assistant AD of Sports Medicine. Serve as a liaison between coaches, student athletes, physicians, and parents. Responsible for day-to-day operation of the athletic training room. Assist with pre participation physical exams and ensuring documentation is correct and up to date. Knowledge of University, Sun Belt Conference and NCAA rules and procedures. Interns must have a BOC Certification or be eligible for the BOC exam and be eligible for an Arkansas State Board of Athletic Training License / Permit. They must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited athletic training curriculum
- CPR/AED Certified
- NATA BOC certified athletic trainer/or Exam Eligible
- Eligible for State of Arkansas athletic training license
