    Athletic Trainer- SUNY Morrisville (NY)- NCAA Division III- SUNYAC/Empire 8- (2 Full-time positions)

    We currently have 2 open positions. Both positions are Full-time and eligible for permanent appointment.

    ·        11-month position (July off) with a hiring range of $52-$55,000.

    ·        10-month position (June and July off) with a hiring range of $50-52,000.

    -We plan on interviewing during the spring, 2024 and hiring for the positions to begin work in May, 2024. If you currently have a position but are interested in our position, we will work with each candidate to allow them to fulfill their responsibilities for this spring at their current workplace before starting here.

    -If you will graduate in Spring, 2024 please indicate in your cover letter when you plan on taking the BOC exam, or if you have already passed the exam and when your graduation date is.

    ·        Current positions sport coverage listed below (possibility for adjustment of sport coverage to meet candidate’s experience/interests):

    Position 1:

    -Fall- 1 of 2 Athletic Trainer’s for Football (travel- we are centrally located with most trips being day trips and under 2 hours with 1 overnight)

    -Winter- 1 of 2 Athletic Trainer’s sharing M/W Basketball (no travel)

    -Spring- primary Athletic Trainer for W. Lacrosse games (travel- we are centrally located with most trips being day trips), practice coverage shared by full staff.

    Position 2:

    -Fall- 1 of 2 Athletic Trainer’s for Football (travel- we are centrally located with most trips being day trips and under 2 hours with 1 overnight)

    -Winter- primary Athletic Trainer for M. Ice Hockey games (travel- we are centrally located with most trips being day trips, there are 5-6 overnights throughout season),

    -Spring- Spring Football practice coverage (no travel).

    ·        There are great SUNY Benefits, including yearly raises as negotiated through the SUNY UUP contract (current contract is 3% per year). Daycare on site, Tuition Assistance - UUP union employees eligible for one free course per semester at a SUNY-state operated campus.     ·        NATA Dues, NATABOC fees, New York State Licensing fees and money for CEU’s provided yearly.  If you have not completed Graston Technique Training, this will be completed within your first year of employment with all costs of the training covered. 

    ·        We are a small school with very nice facilities.  We have an Indoor Turf Field House, state of the art 2 story Fitness Center and Team Strength Room, a well-equipped main Athletic Training Room and a satellite Athletic Training Room in our Ice Rink and Basketball gym.  Our main room is located a few steps from our 35 yard x 70 yard indoor turf which we love to use for Sport Specific rehab exercises. Our new black turf is a pellet/sand mix and is not as hot as the green pellet turf that was replaced (don’t be scared by Barstool Sports!).

    ·        SUNY Morrisville is a rural campus, but is 25 minutes from the suburbs of Syracuse, NY and 40 minutes from the city of Syracuse.  Syracuse and surrounding areas have a very reasonable cost of living index and can be compared to your current city at the following website:
