Description:
Morgan State University Department of Athletics is accepting applications for immediate hire for a full time Head Football Athletic Trainer. The salary is around $65,000 with benefits. This is a 12-month position.
The Head Football Athletic Trainer is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of injuries within the University’s comprehensive sports medicine program.
Will provide coverage of the athletic training room and travels with athletic teams. Will manage the care and prevention of athletic injuries, recognizes and manages injuries, oversees rehabilitation, evaluates sports injuries through independent judgment and discretion, and makes proper referrals of injuries as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- BOC Certification
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Maryland as an Athletic Trainer prior to indicated start date
- Current CPR/AED Certification for the healthcare provider
- Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- If selected, a background check will be required prior to hire.
