Description
CAATE accredited post professional athletic training residency program . The Resident Athletic Trainer(s) are qualified by education, experience and training to provide prevention, care, and rehabilitation for student athlete population. Resident Athletic Trainer(s) shall provide coverage for teams assigned by the Supervising Athletic Trainer(s). The Resident Athletic Trainer(s) are responsible for administrative duties assigned by the Supervising Athletic Trainer(s). The Resident Athletic Trainer(s) will be responsible for didactic course work and clinical experience as part of the Sports Medicine Institute AT Residency Program with a focus in rehabilitation.
Four (4) Resident Athletic Trainer openings available
Resident Athletic Trainer(s) will be assigned to one of the following primary work settings;
Spartanburg Methodist College - member of NJCAA District 10 - (1 resident position)
University of South Carolina - Upstate - member of the Big South Conference - (1 resident position)
Wofford College - member of the Southern Conference - (2 resident positions)
Contract terms as follow:
- 12 month appointment starting June 1, 2024 thru May 31, 2025
- Employment provided by Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System - Sports Medicine Institute with full time employee benefits.
- Meal plan provided by assigned site

Requirements
BOC Certified Athletic Trainer
SC DHEC or eligible
Current CPR
Valid Driver's License
