Job Description – Intern Athletic Trainer (Football)
University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking applicants for Intern Athletic Trainer. 1 position is available for Immediate Hire and 1 position is available for 2024-2025. UAB is a Division-1 FBS participant in the American Athletic Conference. This individual will be an integral part of the Sports Medicine team who will interact with the student-athlete, athletics staff, and medical community. Sport assignment is Football (subject to change during term, at the discretion of Director of Sports Medicine)

Responsibilities
·Responsible for care and coverage of assigned sports in all phases including: game and practice coverage, travel and emergency preparation.
·Provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletically injured student-athletes in conjunction with the appropriate personnel.
·Assist with the maintenance of athletic training room equipment.
·Daily record keeping and maintenance of student athlete files.
·Assist with annual physical examinations as requested.
·Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Qualifications
· BOC certified
· eligible for Licensure in Alabama

Salary:
$36,000, Full-Time Exempt, eligible for benefits
