Job Description:
Lamar University is seeking applicants for two graduate assistant athletic trainer positions for the 2024-2025 academic year. Payment includes a full-time graduate school tuition waiver (in state/out of state), a $1,200 per month stipend as well as yearly professional association and state licensure dues. These positions assist the sports medicine staff in providing comprehensive health care to Lamar University student-athletes. The graduate assistant athletic trainer also acts as a supervisor to undergraduate students in the athletic training apprenticeship program (TX licensure program).
Sport Assignments: Position 1: Football Position 2: Track/Cross Country
Start Date: June/July 2024
Degree Options: Sports Nutrition (online), Public Health (online), or Exercise Science (hybrid).

Candidate Qualifications:
Baccalaureate degree or entry level master’s degree in Athletic Training
Licensure as an athletic trainer in the state of Texas upon start date; Temporary License is acceptable.
Board of Certification ATC
Current CPR certification
