Jacksonville University Department of Athletics invites applications for immediate hire for a full time Assistant Athletic Trainer with Softball/Cheer. This is a 12-month position. The salary is $50,000 with benefits. Also included: Licensure reimbursement, liability insurance reimbursement, NATA dues, $1,250 for CEUs, and a cell phone stipend
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- The prevention, evaluation, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses in coordination with the sports medicine team
- Overnight travel and weekend/evening hours
- Assist in providing athletic training services for other intercollegiate teams, sporting events, and practices as needed
- Responsible for keeping accurate and current medical records electronically
- Aid in all athletic training clinic operations
- Other administrative duties as assigned by the Assistant AD/Sports Medicine

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- BOC Certification
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida as an Athletic Trainer prior to indicated start date
- Current CPR/AED Certification for the healthcare provider
- Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- If selected, a background check will be required prior to hire
