    Jacksonville University Department of Athletics invites applications for immediate hire for a full time Assistant Athletic Trainer with Softball/Cheer. This is a 12-month position. The salary is $50,000 with benefits. Also included: Licensure reimbursement, liability insurance reimbursement, NATA dues, $1,250 for CEUs, and a cell phone stipend

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • The prevention, evaluation, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses in coordination with the sports medicine team
    • Overnight travel and weekend/evening hours
    • Assist in providing athletic training services for other intercollegiate teams, sporting events, and practices as needed
    • Responsible for keeping accurate and current medical records electronically
    • Aid in all athletic training clinic operations
    • Other administrative duties as assigned by the Assistant AD/Sports Medicine

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree 
    • BOC Certification
    • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida as an Athletic Trainer prior to indicated start date
    • Current CPR/AED Certification for the healthcare provider
    • Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
    • Able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
    • If selected, a background check will be required prior to hire
