    Provides for the prevention, care, and rehabilitation of intercollegiate athletic injuries.

    1. Assesses student-athletes and administers preventative and post-injury treatments and rehabilitation.
    2. Performs emergency first aid to injured student-athletes as needed.
    3. Ensures all student-athletes have received proper medical clearance annually, medical forms are completed, and insurance coverage is active.
    4. Collaborates with physicians for off-campus appointments, evaluation, diagnostic testing, rehabilitation, and medical clearance of athletic injuries.
    5. Provides medical coverage for home intercollegiate contests; evaluates and monitors environmental conditions for practices and competitions.
    6. Maintains a clean and safe athletic training room environment.
    7. Provides staff education on conditioning, training, injury prevention, and CPR/AED training; counsels student-athletes on concussion education, safety, playing status, and reconditioning.
    8. Maintains records for injuries and treatments, and files insurance claims for athletic injuries with secondary insurance.
    9. Assists with supervision and instruction of work-study students.
    10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in kinesiology, athletic training, or related field 

    Minimum Experience: (1) year related experience; requires license from Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Training, National Athletic Trainers Association (NATABOC) certification, and current CPR/AED certification
