Assistant Athletic Trainer

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer, the Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist in prevention, recognition, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athlete injuries. They will participate in program organization, and will assist in the supervision and education of intern athletic trainers and work-study students.
Salary Range for this position is expected to be: Minimum $55,000- Maximum $58,000
Education/Skills Requirements:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited athletic training or internship program
- Knowledge of NCAA regulations and certification by the National Athletic Trainer’s
Association
- BOC certification for Athletic Trainers
- CPR/FPR/AED/SFA certification (Instructor preferred)
- Maine State ATC license.
Preferred:
- Master’s in a related field of Sports Medicine.
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents:
Required:
- 3-5 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a collegiate setting.
Standard Work Days and Hours:
- This is a full-time position working 40 hours/week, 10 months/year (0.75 FTE)
- 10:00 am to 7:00 pm with some variation to be determined by sport covered, and evenings and weekends as needed to cover home/away practices and games. Travel with student teams and extended hours required on occasion.
