    Position Summary

    Athletic Trainer

    The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX seeks an Athletic Trainer to join the Athletics Department. The Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing quality athletic training services primarily to their assigned student-athletes and supports other staff members with athletic training for all student-athletes at University of the Incarnate Word. The Athletic Trainer reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Master's Degree. Note that a Bachelor's Degree with an additional two (2) years of required experience will be considered in lieu of Master's Degree.
    • Two (2) years of professional experience as a Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainer.
    • BOC Certified, Texas licensed or eligible.

    • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA

    Qualifications:

    Required Education

    Master’s Degree. Note that a Bachelor’s Degree with an additional two years of required experience will be considered in lieu of Master’s Degree.

    Required Work Experience

    Two years of professional experience as a Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainer.

    Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations

    • BOC Certified, Texas licensed or eligible.
    • Must have a valid Driver’s License and must be insurable with UIW’s insurance carrier.
