Description:
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), an NCAA DI institution, is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer. The successful candidate will report to the Associate Athletics Director/Head Athletic Trainer. The Assistant Athletics Trainer is responsible for the healthcare of athletic teams and serves as the athletic trainer for assigned sport(s). The individual evaluates and treats athletic injuries and illnesses including rehabilitation, supervises athletic training at an athletic practice and competition, serves as liaison with the Sports Medicine Care Team for a particular sport, maintains all medical documentation relating to the assigned sport(s), and performs other duties as needed. The individual also adheres to all institution, conference and NCAA rules and regulations and reports all known NCAA violations in accordance with institutional, conference and NCAA policies and guidelines.
