Job Description: The Head Athletic Trainer(Supervisor) works under the supervision of the Sports Medicine Medical Director, area team physician, and Manager of Athletic Training. Individual must be BOC certified and possess current state of athletic training certification. NPI number required. The individual in this position performs a wide variety of duties requiring specific knowledge of the policies and procedures. They are expected to meet the hospital's professional, clinical, technical, communication and documentation requirements and standards to make decisions based on established guidelines. They are required to demonstrate competent professionalism and courtesy during frequent interactions with management/administration, doctors, allied healthcare professionals, patients, general public and local schools, hospitals and sports teams.
Qualifications: Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health and will have direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
Education - Bachelor's degree Athletic training, Master's preferred
Experience - 3 years Certified Athletic Trainer
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses
BOC certification
South Carolina DHEC Athletic Training Certificate
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with the public. - Required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Required
