Salem University, a NCAA DII institution in Central West Virginia, is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer Intern, with a start date of August 1, 2023. Start date may be flexible depending on the candidate. The position runs through May 2024.
Potential sport assignments are Volleyball, Softball, Men’s Tennis, Women’s Tennis, or Women’s Water polo (sport assignment will be determined by best fit of the successful candidate. Team travel is required during each team's championship season. Position includes monthly stipend, reimbursement for state licensure fees, NATA Dues, along with Possibility of CEU opportunities, Graduate Tuition Waiver, and housing as well. Must be BOC Certified/eligible for BOC exam and eligible for West Virginia licensure.

The Certified Athletic Trainer Intern for Sports Medicine coordinates the medical care of student-athletes in assigned sports, including the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses. The individual will assist in the daily operation of the athletic training room. This position reports directly to the Head Athletic Trainer.
