    UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA / CEDAR VALLEY MEDICAL SPECIALISTS, PC:

    FULL TIME FOOTBALL ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINING STAFF POSITION (1)

    Description

    In collaboration with the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) and Cedar Valley Medical Specialists, PC (CVMS), is seeking candidates who will assist with the supervision and coordination of the University of Northern Iowa’s overall sports medicine and athletic training services in consultation with and under the supervision of the UNI Director of Athletic Training Services, Head Team Physician, CVMS, and other qualified medical personnel; serve as staff assistant athletic trainer assigned to football under the direction of the Head Football Athletic Trainer. This position is in conjunction with the CVMS and UNI Athletic Training Services; assist with the development and implementation of student athlete healthcare, assists in providing clinical instruction/supervision of athletic training students as part of the University’s Athletic Training Education Program under the supervision of the Director of Athletic Training Education.

    This position is a full-time, 12-month position, salary range $40,000 - $50,000 based upon experience . Employee will be a Cedar Valley Medical Specialist, P.C. employee functioning full-time as a UNI Football Assistant Athletic Trainer as a full-time member of the UNI Athletic Training Services staff. Excellent health insurance package, 401K benefit, and profit-sharing opportunities available. Start date 06/12/2023, but negotiable.

    Requirements

    Master’s degree preferred; certification by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association Board of Certification (NATABOC); and Athletic Training licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in the State of Iowa required. NCAA Division I experience preferred; experience with collegiate football preferred.
