    Job Description/Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the Director of Sports Medicine in all aspects of the Sports Medicine Department including evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, documentation of athletic injuries, supervision, and providing on-site and occasional away coverage for athletic teams as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine.

    The successful candidate will provide coverage to one sport per season (while assisting others as needed) Sports coverage will be determined based upon preferences and qualifications of potential candidate in conjunction with assignments of current ATC’s on staff.

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, Master's preferred and he or she must be BOC certified. Ability to work as part of a team environment. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to and ability to work with a diverse student population. An understanding  of and commitment to the mission of a Christian college is required. Must meet university lifestyle expectations.

    The Bill and Gloria Gaither Sports Medicine Center is located in the Kardatzke Wellness Center (KWC), a 132,000 sq. ft. facility providing programming for health, recreation, and wellness in all forms-spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially.

    The Bill and Gloria Gaither Sports Medicine Center is a 4,000 sq. ft. space that houses 4 athletic trainers and 1 graduate assistant, a physician’s office, a large open treatment/rehabilitation area with appropriate modalities, locker rooms for staff, and an extensive hydrotherapy area, in addition to a 450 sq. ft. dedicated taping area.
