    Full-Time Athletic Trainer

    Position Description

    The Department of Sports Medicine at North Carolina A&T State University is seeking applicants for a two (2) full-time Athletic Trainers. Responsibilities will include injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation; maintaining accurate medical records, practice and event coverage, including travel; pre-participation evaluations; coordinating medical insurance claims; and supervising student athletic trainers and volunteers. The selected candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively with the head athletic trainer, team physicians, head/assistant coaches, strength coaches, and administrators.

    • Position 1: Football
    • Position 2: Baseball OR Softball (secondary sport may be assigned)

    North Carolina A&T State University Athletics sponsors athletics programs in 8 men's and 9 women's sports: football, basketball, indoor and outdoor track and field, tennis, cross-country, golf, and baseball for men; and indoor and outdoor track and field, cross-country, tennis, golf, softball, volleyball, basketball, and bowling for women. As a member of the Colonial Athletic Association, the department competes at the NCAA Division I (FCS) level.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or related field required; Master's Degree preferred
    • BOC Certification required; Must be eligible for North Carolina licensure
    • 1-3 years of experience as a certified athletic trainer
    • Experience at the collegiate level preferred
    • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification

    Starting Salary: $50,000 with benefits
