Louisiana Tech University, a Division I member of Conference USA, sponsors 16 intercollegiate athletic programs. LA Tech is located in Ruston, LA.
The Sports Medicine Department at Louisiana Tech University is currently seeking applications for (2) Intern Athletic Trainer.
Primary sport responsibilities:
1. Intern Athletic Trainer – Volleyball and Women’s Tennis
2. Intern Athletic Trainer – Cross Country and Track & Field
Intern Athletic Trainers assist with the planning, organization, coordination, and management of proper health care to LA Tech’s student-athletes. This includes, but is not limited to assisting in the operation of the athletic training facility, facilitating prevention programs, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries, traveling with assigned athletic teams as well as other duties assigned by the athletic training staff.
The Intern Athletic Trainer position will start July 1, 2023 and will end on June 31, 2024. The Intern Athletic Trainer position will be a 12-month appointment (renewable for a second year, based upon a performance evaluation by the Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine).
Requirements
Intern Athletic Trainer Benefits Include:
1. $24,000.00 yearly stipend ($2,000/month)
Intern Athletic Trainers:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in athletic training
2. NATA/BOC certified
3. Louisiana Board of Medical Examiners licensure or licensure eligible
4. AED/CPR certified
