    What We Are Looking For

    The Athletic Trainer serves in the Division of Athletics and reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Medicine. This position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the medical and rehabilitation programs and needs of student-athletes for the Men’s and Women’s Tennis Programs.

    This position requires a Master's Degree and three years of relevant work experience. Experience will not be accepted in lieu of the educational requirement.

    National Athletic Training Certification is required. Texas Athletic Training License is required but can be obtained after employment offer is accepted. 

    What You Will Do

    Medical

    Provide medical care to athletes at practice, training, and competition events. Administer treatment under the supervision of the Associate AD for Athletic Medicine and Team Physician.

    Communication

    Maintain communication with student-athletes, parents, coaches, team physicians, and administration on progress of student athletes. Maintain proper documentation as necessary.

    Operations

    Assist in the maintenance and proper use of athletic training facilities in order to create an efficient and safe working environment.

    Program Management

    Assist with the management of the student athletic training education program.

    Compliance

    Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA, Big 12 Conference, and institution rules and regulations and to communicate immediately any possible infractions of such rules and regulations to the Athletics Compliance staff.

    Other Duties

    Other program duties as requested by the Director of Athletics or the area head.
