Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer (Kent State University)

    Interested Candidates,

    Kent State University will have 1 opening for a graduate assistant position for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be a BOC AT and have graduated from a CAATE accredited professional athletic training program.
    • State credentialed (OH) before the GA positions begins.
    • Current CPR/AED Certification

    GA Responsibilities:

    The available GA position is with the Kent State University (KSU) Athletic Department in Kent, OH.  KSU Athletics is a Division I program with 19 varsity sports in the Mid-American Conference. The GA will provide athletic training services to athletes at practice and home/away games as assigned by the GA supervisor, participate in clinical education of athletic training students in a CAATE accredited professional athletic training program, and assist with administrative duties as assigned by the GA supervisor. The GA position is a 10-month contract, renewable after the 1st year.

    Compensation:

    • Full tuition waiver
    • Stipend amount = $9,000 (August 1st, 2022 through May 2023).

    Most common graduate programs for our Graduate Assistant are:

    •     Sport Administration- School of Foundations, Leadership, and Administration
    •     Exercise Physiology with Concentration in Athletic Training- School of Health Sciences
