    Northern Kentucky University Department of Athletics, Highland Heights, Kentucky,  is a member of the Horizon League and NCAA Division I.  Sport assignment is Volleyball with a secondary sport TBD. 

    St. Elizabeth Sports Medicine is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer – Men’s Basketball at Northern Kentucky University.  The successful candidate will provide services to the University’s intercollegiate athletic program, as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine.  The primary assignment for this position is Men’s Basketball, with additional responsibilities as directed by the Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordination of the medical care for student-athletes within the Department of Athletics including injury prevention, evaluation, management, and treatment of athletic injuries, short-term and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries, education and counseling of student-athletes, and athletics related health care administration in consultation with and under the supervision of Team Physician, Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine and other qualified medical personnel.  Regular day, evening and night hours are required.  Travel will be required.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Master’s Degree in Athletic Training
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer at the collegiate level
    • Passed the BOC exam
    • Eligible for Kentucky licensure and be licensed prior to start date
