Description: The Assistant Athletic Trainer/Student Success Coach assists the Head Athletic Trainer with the day-to-day management of the Sports Medicine Department, which includes, but is not limited to the health, safety and wellness of all student-athletes. The Assistant Athletic Trainer/Student Success Coach assists the Athletic Director with academic advising of student-athletes to ensure compliance with NJCAA academic requirements. The Assistant Athletic Trainer/Student Success Coach guides student-athletes concerning their academic plans and progress, academic schedule, choice of major, and other academic activities and career goals, to assist the student in making decisions concerning personal educational goals leading to graduation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field
Certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer
Maryland Athletic Training license or eligible for Maryland licensure
Emergency Cardiac Care Certification
Minimum of 2 years experience as a certified Athletic Trainer
Ability to pass background check
