On January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the novel coronavirus a global health emergency. The virus, now known as COVID-19, was first identified in January in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Currently, confirmed cases include a relatively small number in the United States.
Concern for member/meeting attendee health and safety, airline restrictions, and travel warnings are generating inquiries about the status of our two CATS symposiums. For the most recent updates, please read the statements below.
CATS Spring Symposium for Athletic Trainers & Team Physicians (last updated 3/15/20)
The Spring Symposium has been cancelled.
On March 15, 2020, the CDC, in accordance with its guidance for large events and mass gatherings, recommends that for the next 8 weeks, organizers (whether groups or individuals) cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States.
Attendees will have the following options regarding their 2020 registration:

- Once your registration has been transferred you will receive an email confirmation.
- You have the option to cancel and request a refund between now and the 2021 symposium if circumstances change. Please email a request for refund.
- Please allow time for us to transfer your registration.

- Please allow time for us to process your refund. Your refund will be processed the way it was received.
