    Responsibilities

    The University of Akron, a Division I Institution and member of the Mid-American Conference is accepting applications for two Assistant Athletic Trainers; one for our Men’s & Women’s Track and Field program, and one for our Football program. These positions will provide athletic training services in the administration of health care to University athletes; plan and oversee rehabilitation programs for injured athletes; maintain comprehensive records of athletic injuries and treatments and make referrals to and interact regularly with team physicians and other health care consultants.

    Required Qualifications

    Master’s degree and NATABOC Certification required; minimum of two (2) years of experience of athletic training in a Division I college setting; knowledge of human anatomy, exercise physiology and evaluation and rehabilitation techniques and strong communication skills, problem solving skills and computer skills required.
