    Assistant Athletic Trainer (Head Women’s Basketball)/Clinical Instructor

    Assists with the supervision and coordination of the University’s overall sports medicine and athletic training services in consultation with and under the supervision of the Director of Athletic Training Services/Head Athletic Trainer, team physician(s) and other qualified medical personnel; serves as head athletic trainer for Women’s Basketball; assists with the development and implementation of student athlete welfare and educational programs including but not limited to NCAA drug testing, substance abuse programming, and nutritional guidance; assists with the supervision and instruction of the clinical educational experiences in the University’s accredited Athletic Training Education Program under the direction of the Athletic Training Education Program Director and supervision of the Division Chair; and responsible for the coordination of the secondary student-athlete insurance administration.

    Master’s degree in related field required. Candidates must be certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and possess or be eligible for athletic training licensure in the State of Iowa. At least three years of post-certification experience, college instructional experience in athletic injury assessment and treatment, collegiate-level athletic training experience, experience supervising athletic training students, outpatient rehabilitation clinic experience and insurance coordination experience preferred.
