University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Intern Athletic Trainer - Cross Country/Track

    The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, a NCAA Division I and Southern Conference member, seeks a highly motivated professional for the position of Intern Athletic Trainer. There is currently 1 internship position available working with cross country and track and field teams.

    Responsibilities:  Responsibilities of this positions will include: providing injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes; direct healthcare of and travel with your assigned sport; act as a preceptor for the graduate athletic training education program; and assist fellow staff members with other administrative duties, sports coverage and other tasks as assigned. Will work with the cross country and track and field team primarily as well as provide assistance to football as needed.

    Required Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field; NATABOC certification; eligible for licensure in Tennessee; 0 - 1 years experience (Must have Master’s Degree in Athletic Training if 0 years experience); effective communication and interpersonal skills

    Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field or 2 year Graduate Assistantship Completion

    Appointment Dates: July 20th, 2020 - May 20th, 2021 with possible renewal for the following academic year.
