    Job Description

    Nyack College is seeking applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer.  This is an 9-month full-time position, starting August 1, 2020 and working with our 12 intercollegiate teams that competes at the NCAA Division II level in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the athletic trainer in the coordination and administration of the evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of athletic injuries.  As well as early morning coverage, practice/game coverage, supervision of student athletic trainers, attending to the day to day activity of the athletic training room, and administration of other duties as needed.

    Requirements  

    • Current NATABOC certification
    • New York State licensure/eligibility
    • New Jersey State licensure/eligibility
    • CPR/AED required
    • A Faith in Jesus Christ
    • This position requires high moral and ethical character, excellent motivational and communication skills, and an outstanding work ethic. 
    • Agreement and compliance with the Community Standards of Nyack College
    • Ability to sign and affirm the Nyack College Statement of Faith

    Location

    The campus is located at 2 Washington St, New York, NY 10004 in the heart of lower Manhattan.  The athletic facilities and the dorm are located at 150 Bay St., Jersey City, NJ 07302.

     Allowance, Compensation and Remuneration: 

    • Graduate Assistant Grant for one of the Nyack College graduate programs (up to the equivalent of 50% of tuition – excludes fees and books)
    • Graduate single student housing with roommate(s)
    • Up to 14 meals a week in the campus dining hall when school is in session
    • Annual stipend of $6,000 paid monthly
