    The University of Akron, a Division I Institution and member of the Mid-American Conference is accepting applications for an Assistant Athletic Trainer position.  This position will serve as an assistant with football.  

    Qualifications:  Master’s degree and NATABOC Certification required.  Requires a minimum of two years of experience of athletic training in a Division I college setting.  Knowledge of human anatomy, exercise physiology and evaluation and rehabilitation techniques required.  Strong communication skills, problem solving skills and computer skills required. 

    Duties and Responsibilities:  Provide athletic training services in the administration of health care to University athletes.  Plan and oversee rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.  Maintain comprehensive records of athletic injuries and treatments.  Make referrals to and interact regularly with team physicians and other health care consultants.
