    Description: Western Illinois University will be accepting applications for multiple Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainers.  These positions are 8-9 month appointment beginning August 2020.  Full tuition waiver and monthly stipend included.  Primary Sport Assignments: Football, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Volleyball/Track, Softball/FB, Track/FB.

    • Qualifications:  Bachelor Degree in Athletic Training
    • BOC Certified Athletic Trainer by July 2020
    • State of Illinois Licensure
    • Acceptance to WIU Graduate School (requires 3.0  GPA)
    • CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or Healthcare Provider
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 25lbs. Ability to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time. Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields.  Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as required by sports schedule.
    • Preferred Qualifications: Experience traveling with a sport team; Desire to work in the collegiate/professional setting as a career choice; BOC certified athletic trainer; Advanced sports knowledge through internship or clinical rotation;
