    University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletic Trainer Internship Positions



    The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, a NCAA Division I and Southern Conference member, seeks a highly motivated professional for the position of Intern Athletic Trainer for immediate opening. There is currently 1 internship position available working with the indoor and beach volleyball teams.


    Responsibilities:  Responsibilities of the position will include: providing injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes; directing healthcare of and travel with your assigned sport; acting as a preceptor for the graduate athletic training education program; and assisting fellow staff members with other administrative duties, sports coverage, and other tasks as assigned.  The intern will work with the beach and indoor volleyball teams.


    Required Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field; NATABOC certification; eligible for licensure in Tennessee; 0 - 2 years of experience (Must have Master’s Degree in Athletic Training if no experience); effective communication and interpersonal skills.


    Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Athletic Training, or related field; or completion of a 2-year Graduate Assistantship.

    Appointment Dates: January 6, 2020 – May 15, 2020 with probable renewal for the following academic year.
