     To assist in the supervision and coordination of the Youngstown State University overall sports medicine program, including (but not limited to): injury prevention, evaluation and subsequent management and treatment of athletic related injuries; follow injury rehabilitation and return-to-participation protocols for injured student-athletes; record keeping which includes written documentation of injuries and appropriate treatment, rehab and other medical treatments; participation in the department Drug Education & Testing program; regular communication with student-athletes, coaches, staff athletic trainers, athletic training medical director and team physicians regarding injuries and participation status; practice and event coverage for assigned sport(s)

    To serve as a clinical preceptor of the entry-level Master of Athletic Training program, serve as a teaching assistant for MAT courses and supervise student clinical experiences. Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainers will assist MAT students in completing clinical integration proficiencies.


     Applicants must have graduated or be scheduled to graduate from an accredited athletic training program. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. BOC and OH license will be required at start of contract.
