    The University of Texas at Tyler is the newest member of the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference.

    Since 2005, UT Tyler has been competing in the NCAA Division III American Southwest Conference, during which time the Patriots have won multiple ASC Conference Championships, and 3 team NCAA Division III National Championships. UT Tyler sponsors 15 intercollegiate sports, including Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s & Women’s Tennis, Men’s and Women’s Track & Field, Men’s and Women’s Golf, Baseball, and Softball. UT Tyler has a strong history of academic and athletic performance as an institution, and hopes to continue this tradition moving forward into NCAA Division II.

    Position:

    The University of Texas at Tyler will begin offering 2 seasonal athletic trainer positions stationed full time at UT Tyler.

    Job Description:

    Responsibilities include injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and therapeutic exercise, maintenance of electronic medical records, clinic, practice, and game coverage including team travel to sports assigned, and adhering to the policies and procedures of The University of Texas at Tyler, UT Tyler Athletic Training, the Lone Star Conference, and NCAA Division II. These positions are temporary, 10-month positions from August 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020. Start dates may be adjustable pending prior obligations.

    Compensations:

    Seasonal athletic trainers will receive a $17,000 stipend over a 10-month period. Seasonal athletic trainers will receive (when applicable) Texas License fees, NATA dues, and possible continuing education opportunities. Seasonal athletic trainers will also be provided with UT Tyler apparel.

    Texas Athletic Training License upon start date
