Athletic Trainer (2 positions) Tiffin University

    Tiffin University is seeking applicants for two open positions.  We are a private NCAA Division 2 member of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) located in Northwest Ohio.

    The first opening is for the position of Associate Athletic Trainer.  This individual must hold a current NATABOC certification. The individual must be eligible for licensure within the State of Ohio.  Certification in professional rescuer CPR and AED is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required (Master’s preferred).  One to three years directly related experience at the collegiate level is also preferred.  Sport assignment for this position will be Men's Soccer and a winter sport TBD. 

    The second open position is for an Assistant Athletic TrainerThis individual must hold a current NATABOC certification. The individual must be eligible for licensure within the State of Ohio.  Certification in professional rescuer CPR and AED is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.  Master’s degree in related field is preferred.  This is an Entry-Level position.  Sport assignment for this opening is Volleyball and a winter sport TBD.  This is a 10 Month position running August through May.

    These individuals will serve under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to, injury prevention, evaluation, management, and treatment of athletic injuries, short-term and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries, education and counseling of student-athletes, documentation, assisting with institutional drug tests, and other athletics related health care administration. This position requires team travel and a varying work schedule. This individual must be able to adapt to the ever changing, fast-paced environment of collegiate athletics.
