    1. Onsite care and management of injuries and illnesses including: prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of over 300 student athletes.
    2. Assess risk of injury, perform ergonomic evaluation and coaching, self-care implementation and overall wellness promotion.
    3. Submit electronic documentation for all patient encounters.
    4. Coordinate and implement injury prevention programs and customized preventative strategies and programs to each patient.
    5. Minimize risk of injury through awareness, education and prevention strategies.
    6. Provide sport-specific accommodation recommendations for student athletes with restrictions or limitations.
    7. Communicate with physicians and coaching staff regarding the injury status of athletes.
    8. Carry out medical care for assigned student-athletes per the sports medicine standard operating procedures.
    9. Assist with management of hosting NE10 and NCAA events.
    10. Actively participate in Athletic Department meetings, support department-wide and special events.
    11. Assist with new employee searches.
    12. Serve on department or campus wide committees.
    13. Other duties as assigned by Assistant AD for Sports Medicine.

    Additional Information:

    This is a full-time, 10-month a year position (August-May). The variable schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    1. Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred
    2. Minimum of two years' work experience in intercollegiate athletics or related field
    3. Knowledge of a large range of medical problems.
    4. Assessment, evaluation skills and ability to work effectively with other healthcare professionals
    5. Ability to think critically and make independent decisions regarding the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and return to play decisions per state licensure guidelines
    6. Attention to detail with injury tracking and documentation
    7. Ability to communicate effectively in high stress/pressure situation when talking to patients, medical professionals, staff and families
    8. Ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision
    9. Intermediate level computer skills using a Windows based operating system, specifically MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
    10. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays


    1. Must be BOC certified
    2. Certified by NYSED office of the professions or eligible to be certified
    3. NPI Number or in the process of obtaining one
    4. Current Emergency Cardiac Care and first aid certification
    5. Valid driver's license


    1. Lifting 70 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects
    2. Able to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time
    3. Able to sit or stand for long periods at a time
