$45,000-$55,000 (Depending on Experience)
Athletic trainers provide consultation, advice, referrals, care and management of athletic injury and illness to Salem University Intercollegiate Athletes. A primary role of the athletic trainer is to work as a member of the medical staff in providing prevention, preconditioning, conditioning, treatment, care, and rehabilitation for intercollegiate athletes. Annual 12 – month position
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or related field
· Current Board of Certification (BOC) certification
· West Virginia State license as a Certified Athletic Trainer, or eligible upon appointment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a professional athletic training education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)
· Professional experience in the college or university setting
· Current West Virginia State license as a Certified Athletic Trainer
