Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties will include practice / game coverage, travel and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. In addition Interns will assist six other staff athletic trainers with coverage of five coed athletic training rooms, be involved with instruction and supervision of athletic training students, and handle various duties as assigned by the Assistant AD of Sports Medicine. Serve as a liaison between coaches, student athletes, physicians, and parents. Responsible for day-to-day operation of the athletic training room. Assist with pre participation physical exams and ensuring documentation is correct and up to date. Knowledge of University, Sun Belt Conference and NCAA rules and procedures. Interns must have a BOC Certification or be eligible for the NATA-BOC exam and be eligible for an Arkansas State Board of Athletic Training License / Permit.
General Days/Hours: Regular and reliable attendance. 28 hours max $14.50/hr, Approx $21,000 per year
They must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

2. Assessment evaluation and diagnosis
3. Critical incident management
4. Therapeutic intervention
5. Health administration and professional responsibility.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability: Athletic Trainers Licensure is required to practice athletic training in the state of Arkansas as per Act 17-93-407. Licensure passing the board approved Board of Certification exam and maintaining current certification and the required continuing education units. Licensure is defined and regulated by the Arkansas State Athletic Training Practice Act, which can be viewed at www.aratb.org
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited athletic training curriculum
- CPR/AED Certified
- NATA BOC certified athletic trainer/or Exam Eligible
- Eligible for State of Arkansas athletic training license
