Description: The University of Louisville Athletic Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainer for the 2023-24 academic year. The sport assignment shall be at the discretion of the Senior Director of Sports Medicine, but may include Football, Tennis/Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball or Rowing. Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainers will provide healthcare services for their assigned team, including but not limited to: injury prevention and evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation, practice/event coverage, physician referral, medical appointments. Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainers will be asked to participate in a mentorship program and may be assigned professional development tasks during their tenure. This position will report to the Senior Director of Sports Medicine or his/her designee. Position is a monthly/salaried position earning $3,956.33 per month.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Five years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
- BOC certified or certification eligible
- Good standing for licensure as an Athletic Trainer by the KY Board of Medical Licensure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field
- Up to one (1) year of related work experience within a collegiate or professional sports setting
