Positions Available - 1 Intern and 1 Graduate Assistant - Football. Positions to begin June 1 2022.
The primary responsibilities of the Intern Athletic Trainer and Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer will be to assist with the coordination of the University's overall sports medicine program, including but not limited to; injury prevention, evaluation, management and treatment of injuries, short-term and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Educate and counseling of student-athletes, and athletics related health care administration in consultation with and under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer, Head Football Athletic Trainer, Team Physician(s) and other qualified medical personnel. Also, responsible for event and practice coverage (including travel), keeping accurate and current medical records, assist in supervision of athletic training room operations, and other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.
Requirements for Intern:
1. NATA/BOC Certified
2. Graduated from an CAATE accredited program
3. Master's Degree preferred.
4. Eligible for Licensure in the State of Louisiana
5. CPR/AED & First Aid certified
Requirements for Graduate Assistant:
1. NATA/BOC Certification or eligible
2. Licensed or eligible for Licensure in the State of Louisiana
3. Current CPR/AED & First Aid certified
