    The New Mexico State University Athletics Department has four Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer positions available starting July 2022.  Candidates selected will be responsible for assisting athletic training staff with the sports medical care of student-athletes on NCAA Division 1 Intercollegiate Athletic teams.  Duties include prevention, care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, daily coverage of practice and competition of assigned sport, travel with team, working weekend and evening hours is expected.  Graduate Assistants will also serve as preceptors for ATP student in a CAATE accredited undergraduate program and the NMSU ATP Master’s Program beginning in May 2023.  This is a two year commitment and a ten month contract (August-May) each year.  A bi-weekly stipend will be paid through the NMSU Graduate School.  Understanding of and adherence to rules and regulations of US, New Mexico, NCAA, Western Athletic Conference/Conference USA and New Mexico State University required.
