    Winthrop University, an NCAA Division I institution of the Big South Conference located in Rock Hill, South Carolina, is still seeking applicants for the position of athletic trainer.  Under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Training, the athletic trainer will be responsible for the professional care, injury prevention and rehabilitation of student-athletes with athletic-related injuries at a Division I  intercollegiate athletic program.

    • Serve as primary caregiver for Baseball
    • Attend all practices as well as home and away contests for Baseball
    • Assist in daily operations of the John Godbold Athletic Training Room
    • Serve as an instructor for athletic training students
    • Communicate regularly with team physicians
    • provide injury updates to Strength & Conditioning coaches, coaches of assigned sports and other administrators when necessary
    • assist with various events and programs that require athletic training personnel
    • follow NATA Code of Ethics
    • Agency hiring ranges: $35,568
    • Minimum Qualifications:

          Master's degree in athletic training .  One year of experience working in a collegiate athletic training setting required.  Ideally looking for one year of collegiate baseball experience, but not required.  NATA-BOC certification required.  Eligible for South Carolina department of Health and Environmental Control certification.  

    Employment Conditions:  This is a 12-month full-time position.
