Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer (Texas A&M-Commerce)

    Texas A&M University-Commerce Athletic Department is accepting applications for a graduate assistant athletic trainer position open for the 2021-2022 academic year. This position will be for 2 years and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: providing athletic training services to assigned sports teams, traveling with said teams, and any other duties as assigned by the athletic training staff. The main sport assignments will be Women’s Basketball or Women’s Soccer.

    A full tuition and fees waiver for up to six credit hours of graduate school for the fall and spring semesters and a stipend of $9,000 for 9 month will be provided. There will be opportunities for contract work for extra compensation. CEUs, liability insurance, and any renewal of licenses will be paid for. 

    Texas A&M University-Commerce is a NCAA Division II university and a member of the Texas A&M University system. The campus is located in Commerce, Texas which is about 65 miles east of Dallas, Texas. Texas A&M University-Commerce has 14 athletic teams and competes in the Lone Star Athletic Conference. Beginning in July 2022 Texas A&M University-Commerce will be a Division I university in the Southland Conference.

    Job Description

    Minimum qualifications include but are not limited to:

    Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field

    BOC Certified or eligible

    Must obtain athletic training license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation

    Admission into the Texas A&M - Commerce Graduate School. 

    Must maintain current CPR and AED certification.
